The public organization, created by initiative group, "Аssociation for Ukrainian Earthquake Engineering " (AUEE) is registered by June 8, 2000; from 2002 is  the members of the European Association for Earthquake Engineering (EAEE); from 2004 is the members of the International Association for Earthquake Engineering (IAEE).

The experience of earthquakes of the last years has brought the huge scientific - practical information on behaviour of buildings and structures in conditions of seismic effects. The weakest places in methods of designing and account of ferro-concrete frame buildings were designated. The necessity for adjustment of norms was finally formed.

The contents of a site can be of interest for the designers, builders, architects, scientific, managers of the insurance companies occupied with an estimation of seismic risk of structures.
